Directions:
This site is located on the eastern portion of Royal Palms State Park/White Point County Beach in San Pedro, Los Angeles County. To reach the site, take Highway 110 (the Harbor Freeway) south until it ends at the Gaffey Street exit. Continue south on Gaffey Street to 25th Street. Turn right on 25th Street, then left on Western. At the end of Western, turn left on Paseo del Mar, then right into the Park. The road goes down to the beach where you should turn left and go to the end of the pavement to park.
Restrooms:
Portable toilets and restrooms are located near the base of the cliff.
Site description:
The study site is on the left of the large rock outcrop as you are standing in the parking lot facing south toward the ocean. The site is next to the remains of a hot-spring resort that prospered during the first part of the 20th century.

Permit and visitor information:
You must submit a beach/harbor use permit before your visit in order to have the day use fees waived. You may submit a permit online or download the permit and mail it to the County of Los Angeles Department of Beaches and Harbors. The park day use fee is $6 per vehicle. The park gate closes at 4:30 pm; the park closes at 5 pm.
