- Directions:
- Natural Bridges State Beach is on the far west side of the city of Santa Cruz. The site is easiest to reach by entering the eastern entrance to Natural Bridges State Beach at the intersection of Swanton Boulevard and West Cliff Drive. From Highway 1 either north or southbound take Swift Street to West Cliff Drive, turn right and go until the road ends in the Natural Bridges gate. From here, drive to the main parking area next to the visitor center and walk down to the beach.
- Restrooms:
- Public restrooms are available at the beach end of the parking lot or at the visitor center.
- Site description:
- This is a very popular beach in Santa Cruz; however, during the week there is minimal foot traffic and only school groups may be using the beach.
- Permit and visitor information:
- No permit is necessary for monitoring; however collecting of any sort is illegal without a scientific collecting permit or fishing license. Because it is a State Beach, it is important to call and notify the park rangers of your plans: 831-423-4609. They might be able to arrange some parking as well.
