Directions:

From Highway 101, take the Las Positas exit and turn south toward the ocean. Take Las Positas Road to Cliff Drive and turn right. Travel ½ mile to the park entrance on your left.

Restrooms:

There are public restrooms located next to the Brown Pelican Restaurant.

Site description:

The monitoring site is a 50m section of beach to the right of the stairs from the parking lot. There is an estuary/creek that flows intermittently and sampling should not be conducted near this outflow.

Permit and visitor information:

Hendry’s Beach, officially named Arroyo Burro Beach, is located in Santa Barbara near Hope Ranch and the Douglas Family Preserve. Amenities include the Brown Pelican restaurant and snack bar, outdoor showers, restrooms, free parking, and a grassy picnic area.
